I have bought equipment from Adorama and find them to be very reputable dealer in new and used items so if you are looking for something, use this link and thanks for helping out.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAYou have no idea how many times the question pops up on photography forums: “What books do you recommend reading to get started in Photography”. Well here is the summary of the most important, most popular and the most informative ones. That are easy to read even for someone that has JUST begun.

Understanding Exposure, 3rd Edition: How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera
(new edition, click HERE for the last edition)
I can only speak for the last edition but this is a timeless classic. It goes through the whole process of a photograph in easily and readable terms. It’s a great read and an excellent reference to which most photographers come back to every so often.

The A-Z of Creative Photography: Over 70 Techniques Explained in Full

Lee Frost nails it with this one. It is, again, a simple to read book that focuses on technique and stays away from gear as much as possible. It is also a very entertaining read. You will got through many different situations and subjects to take photos of and each one is explained in painstaking detail what to emphasize on and how to achieve a certain effect.

Light: Science and Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting

This is a bit more advanced but a good read and tutorial in understanding light and how it works and bounces. It is a great way to really expand your photography after you have read the other books and you will have a totally new views on how to shoot after reading it.

Note: This list will be constantly updated but most likely at least these books are to stay! The next update will contain a few more specialized books that are still written with the novice or intermediate in mind.
