Ok, we have a ton of Photographic rules (rule of thirds, golden cut, golden ratio, no frontal portraits etc. etc.). Well you can only remember them if you use them frequently and in order to use them frequently, you need to remember them
.
Now learning to see the final photo is actually quite simple: Try to put your focus object in focus and let the surroundings tell the story. That’s it. It isnt really that hard and remember YOU need to like the photo and the story it tells.
Anyone can do snapshots and just take random shots but when a photo tells a story, it has impact and while it may seem very hard to get a story, it is not. Remember, a story is not a long story but something more than just : ” a child” or “a rock”. Rather “a child having fun in a waterpark or waterfall” and ” a rock in the lake in a beautyful night”. If you follow the rule of thirds, story telling will happen nearly automatically.
The key is to just take the rule of thirds and try to frame each shot differently. One shot where the focus object is on the right and then on the left. Continue doing that and experiment with that and believe me your shots will be 100% better.
